Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Core Hours - 39 hrs per week usually working 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 1.00pm Friday.
Location: Lymington
Salary: Up to £48,000 doe

Key Responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer
Company interface for Supplier Quality Management to ensure Quality and delivery requirements are fully understood and achieved by the supply chain.
- Communicating effectively with customers, contractors or supplier representatives.
- Effectively working with other management, NPI and projects to achieve business requirements.
- Conduct Supplier Audits (Process and QMS)
- Conduct source inspection (Paperwork and dimensional)
- Manage all aspects of supplier Non-conformance (Root cause analysis and Corrective action)
- Conduct and/or approve First Article Inspection Reports (to AS9102)
- Manage supplier KPIs
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
- Assist with internal system Audits as part of the internal Quality management system schedule.
Knowledge and Experience of the Supplier Quality Engineer
Essential
- Experienced with AS9100 & AS9102
- Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- Good understanding of Special Process including (Heat treatment, Plating, Cadmium, Anodise, Alocrom,
- Experienced in Root Cause / Corrective Action 8D format
- Strong communication skills, both written a verbal, and have the confidence and ability to present to groups from all disciplines and levels
- Possess the necessary interpersonal skills that will enable engagement with all levels of the business.
- To be able to take the initiative and where appropriate to work with the minimum of supervision.
- Has taken part in MRB highlighting supplier issues when needed
- Self-motivated with excellent analytical, organizational, report writing and problem solving skills
- Work to a high standard of accuracy
Qualifications of the Supplier Quality Engineer
Essential:
- AS9100 internal auditor
- Competent in Outlook, Word, Excel. Visio
- Driving licence (Travel between sites)
Desirable:
- AS9100 Lead auditor
- Security Clearance
- Time served, Engineering apprenticeship
