Position Overview: Site Maintenance Engineer

To work alongside Data Centre operations supporting a prestigious client secured facilities.

 

The Site Maintenance Engineer will work with our client to install, maintain and upgrade computer enclosures and racking, environmental monitoring and electronic locking systems at 3-4 sites in the Peterborough and Corby areas.

 

The position would ideally suit a qualified time served telecommunications installations engineer or a qualified electrician or technician with experience of computer networking and installation. Candidates must have a high standard of safety awareness, excellent electro-mechanical workmanship, ability to fault find, be computer literate ideally Excel and Word, a team player who is customer focused with a can do attitude.

 

Suitable candidates will be required to undertake security checks, possess a CSCS card, hold a valid passport, and own a road legal car with preferably a clean driving licence or no more than 3 points.

 

Training will be given to suitable applicants

 

Hours for the Site Maintenance Engineer

 

Standard Monday to Friday 4pm – 12am

Overtime is occasionally required

 

Rates of Pay for the Site Maintenance Engineer

• Typical £12 - £15 per hour dependent upon qualifications and experience

• Overtime during the week is rate x 1.33

• Overtime Saturdays is rate x 1.5

• Overtime Sunday is rate x 2

• Holiday is 25 days a year

• Travel fuel expenses paid for travel between sites

Job Purpose

 

The paint sprayer/prepper will be responsible for the preparation, painting and polishing of carbon fibre components within the composites paint shop.

 

 

PAINT SPRAYER / PREPPER

 

 

•Follow Work instruction to discharge duties.

•Prepare carbon fibre components to the highest standard.

•Fill and fair components to a ready to paint standard.

•Apply various topcoats and clear coats IAW work instructions and application data sheet.

•Polish to a high standard.

•Work to tight time scales with a high degree of flexibility and be willing to do overtime.

•Ensuring that safe conditions of work and observance of all current Health and Safety legislation is maintained.

•Assisting with the practical training of apprentices and trainees within the Department in line with Company Procedures.

•Performing other duties as may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the Department and Company.

•Candidates must understand the process of carbon fibre, and finishing and polishing paint work to a high standard.

The Ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing complex composite parts from resin-impregnated carbon fibre, glass fibre prepreg.

 

COMPOSITE TRIMMER/BONDER

Main Task of job;

Handle composite materials and follow established safety procedures

Hand laminate composite components to specifications provided by project engineers

Fabricate moulds from supplied patterns

Build assemblies of composite parts using mechanical fasteners

Follow build manuals and quality control processes

Route, trim, drill and sand composite components to supplied drawings

Consult and resolve quality issues as they arise, in consultation with project engineers

The successful candidate should have;

You will have an eye for detail and pride in making things by hand.

You will be comfortable using common hand and power tools, and be able to interpret basic instruction via detailed drawings.

You will have the ability to organise and prioritise along with being able to work to tight deadlines.
